Where Can I Serve?

Sundays:

Sunday School-

  • There seems to always be a need for Sunday School teachers for all ages.  This is an important part of our ministry and a great place to plug in.  From the nursery all the way to adults, people are needed who love to teach (or Sub). Consider being a helper in one of the lower grades or lead an adult class.  If you have any questions or if you would like to help contact the church office.

Greeters / Ushers-

  • Every Sunday morning is better when you have people willing serve by greeting people as they come in the door.  This is a vital part of our Sunday morning making sure everyone feels welcome.  The greeters are in the entryway saying “hello” and passing out bulletins and answering questions about the church.  The ushers help collect the morning offering and if anyone needs help finding a seat.  For more information about these contact Pastor Steve.

Praise Team-

  • Do you love to sing or play an instrument? Talented individuals who would love to serve on our worship team are always welcome. We practice on Wednesday nights 8:10pm till 9:00pm and again Sunday mornings at 8:45am. For more information contact Cathy

Wednesdays:  6:00PM – 7:30PM SEPTEMBER THROUGH APRIL

AWANA – Cubbies

  •  For 3 – 5 year olds, not in Kindergarten.  Come and meet Cubbie Bear and his friends as they learn about God though songs, stories and even the snacks.  This is a great opportunity for you to serve a great group of kids who are ready and willing to learn.  Questions, or if you would like to help contact Jamie.

AWANA- Sparks

  • For Kindergarten through 2nd grade.  Helpers, teachers, song leaders, game leaders and crowd control are all places to serve in this group.  If you would like to volunteer contact Darlene.

Middle school- Grapple

  • For 3rd through 6th grade.  This group of awesome kids have great potential for making a huge impact for the kingdom.  We are always in need of extra help with games, song leading, large group time or small group time.  If you can’t commit to a full (school) year, we can use extra hands during our “store” nights; end of December and end of April.  If you have any questions or would like more information, contact Dana.

Jr. High-

  • 7th & 8th grade also meets on Wednesday nights from 6:00pm till 7:30pm.  Meeting upstairs in the youth room, it is a great time of games, gym time and Bible study.  There are great opportunities to be involved and provide impact for the rest of their lives.  Contact the church office for more information, 397-4676.

Sr. High- 7:15- 8:30PM

  • 9th – 12th grade meets at Events on Main every Wednesday night from 7:15pm till 8:30pm.  Pastor Dean is leading this group with the help of some great adult leaders.  There is time for fun games, videos and applicable Bible teaching.  If you would like to help with this great ministry contact Pastor Dean.

Other:

Boards & Committees-

  • We have a number of boards and committees for people to serve on.  There are certain guidelines to be able to serve on these but they are all working toward the Mission, Vision and Values we have for FBC.  For more information contact the church office.

Summer Camp-

  • Every year we plan, promote and run our own 3rd through 6th grade camp.  Typically we run around 60-70 kids and we need men and women willing to give up a week of their time to be cabin counselors, nurse or game person / leader.  This year Riverview Camp will be hosting us which is located approximately 64 miles north of Spokane on the beautiful Pend Oreille River.  We generally run our camp on the third week of June from Sunday till Friday.  For more information or if you would like to help out, contact Pastor Steve.
