Welcome To First Baptist Church of Colfax

Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, we are canceling all Wednesday night activities until further notice.
With Governor Inslee’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” declaration, we will not be having church until possibly May 10th.
Thank you for your understanding.
Here is our April Birthdays sheet.  What a great time to send a birthday / anniversary card to help us stay connected!
The church secretary is not in but our pastors are.  If you wish to drop off your tithe, you are welcome to stop by the church Tuesday – Friday 9-noon or drop it in the mail slot in the old office door.  Or you can give online via the giving tab on the top of this page.  Our church treasurer is coming in once a week to process all giving.
With that, we are trying to be good stewards during this time and are limiting our purchasing for only essential items.
Here is a video on You Tube from  Pastor Rich or we have a site that gives you a toolbar that has a place to take notes, look up Bible passages.  It also has links to our website giving and media pages.  Click here
For these few weeks, we encourage each attender to have church as a family.  What a great time to spend as a family learning God’s Word together and especially spending some time in prayer.
A few links for you to check out:
Here is a link to Eye Witness Bible Series that you can watch.  This one in particular is for the week known as Holy Week.  There are 8 videos produced from and “eye witness” account that brings a new insight into the week before Easter.
Here is a link you and your kids can watch animated the Pilgrims Progress movie.  You will need to give them your email address.
Family Matters has offered free online studies for you to watch.  Click here
Need something for the kids, check out Kirby Huseby’s website and sign them up for his Kids Club mailings.
While I know we will miss the community being together in one place creates, this mandate from our government cannot stop us from being a family, from calling each other, writing a note of encouragement, either hand written, via text or Facebook (or any other social media outlet) and praying for one another.    Remember, the church is not a building but the people that make up the body that just happens to meet at the same place with the common purpose of worshiping Jesus Christ together.
Be in prayer for each other and please continue to be in prayer for our World as this outbreak effects lives in many different ways.
Thank you again and we look forward to being together again, either at 200 N Mill St. or our final resting place together, with Jesus forever.
God Bless!
