Where Can I Serve?

Sundays:

Sunday School-

  • We are always on the look our for Sunday School teachers for all ages.  This is an important part of our ministry and a great place to plug in.  From the nursery all the way to adults, we can use people who love to teach (or Sub), maybe be  a helper in one of the lower grade or lead an adult class.  If you have any questions or if you would like to help contact the church office.

Greeters / Ushers-

  • Every Sunday morning is better when you have people willing serve by greeting people as they come in the door.  This is a vital part of our Sunday morning making sure everyone feels welcome.  The greeters are in the entryway saying “hello” and passing out bullitins and answering questions about the church.  The ushers help collect the morning offering and if anyone needs help finding a seat.  For more information about these contact Pastor Steve.

Praise Team-

  • Do you love to sing or play an instrument? We are always on the look out for talented individuals who would love to serve on our worship team. We practice on Wednesday nights 8:10pm till 9:00pm and again Sunday mornings at 8:45am. For more information contact Melissa May 397-3888 or Cathy Morgan 397-2249.

Wednesdays:

AWANA-

  • We currently have AWANA for our K-2nd grade group.  They meet every Wednesday night from 6:30pm till 8:00pm.  Darlene Kroll is always on the look our for helpers, teachers, song leaders, game leaders or someone to simply handle crowd control.  If you would like to volunteer contact Darlene @ 397-4461

Middle school-

  • The 3rd through 6th grade group meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30pm till 8:00pm.  Elizabeth Huber leads this group of awesome kids who have great potential for making a huge impact for the kingdom.  We are always in need of extra help with games, song leading, large group time or small group time.  If you can’t commit to a full (school) year, we can use extra hands during our “store” nights; end of December end of April.  If you have any questions or would like more information, contact Elizabeth @ 397-4525.

Jr. High-

  • Our Jr. High (7th & 8th) also meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30pm till 8:00pm.  They meet upstairs in the youth room and have  a great time of games, gym time and Bible study.  There is great opportunities to be involved in these lives and impact them for the rest of their lives.  Contact the church office for more information.

Sr. High-

  • The 9th – 12th grade meets in Events on Main every Wednesday night from 7:15pm till 8:30pm.  Pastor Dean is leading this group with the help of some great adult leaders.  There is time for some fun games, videos and applicable Bible teaching.  If you would like to help with this great ministry contact Pastor Dean.

Other:

Boars & Committees-

  • We have a number of boards and committees for people to serve on.  There are certain guide lines to be able to serve on these but they are all working toward the Mission, Vission and Values we have for FBC.  For more information contact the church office.

Summer Camp-

  • Every year we plan, promote and run our own 3rd through 6th grade camp.  Typically we run around 60-70 kids and we need men and women willing to give up a week of their time to be cabin counselors, nurse or game person / leader.  This year Riverview Camp will be hosting us which is located approximately 64 miles north of Spokane on the beautiful Pend Oreille River.  We generally run our camp on the third week of June from Sunday till Friday.  For more information or if you would like to help out, contact either Elizabeth Huber (509.397.4525) or Pastor Steve.
